Description

Salmonella thypi causes an infectious disease, particularly typhoid or enteric fever. Usually occur in summer sometimes without being high but outbreaks can occur. This bacterium produces an infection that affects the intestinal tract and occasionally the bloodstream. Exposed individuals may have mild or severe diarrhea, fever and sometimes vomiting. More complicated infections usually occur in young children or elderly.
